One of the key ways and central places we make important decisions as a church is at our regular church meetings. Some people call them ‘business meetings’ because it is where we do our church business – but it is important not to separate out these meetings from everything else we do as a church. Church is to be a family, or community and just as every family needs to sit together to consider and decide the future, so does a church family – and this happens at the church meeting. It is important spiritual work where we make decisions about how we can most effectively know and share Jesus.
Of course, God gives leaders to lead, but he speaks through the whole church too, so church meetings are an important part of our sharing in, shaping and owning the ministry of the church. This is hampered when only a portion or section of the church come so if you are a member, or regular attender, please prioritise the dates of the church meetings below. Then why not diarise them and plan to be there?
• Sunday 9th February 2020
• Sunday 15th March 2020 NOTE: Date changed to avoid Mother’s Day
• Sunday 17th May 2020 (AGM & Ordinary meeting)
• Sunday 12th July 2020
• Sunday 20th September 2020
• Sunday 22nd November 2020 (Budget)
• Sunday 7th February 2021
• Sunday 21st March 2021
• Sunday 9th May 2021 (AGM & Ordinary meeting)
