As a church we are continuing to comply with the UK Government regulations on managing the spread of the Coronavirus and reducing its potential to have serious impact on the health of some in our communities, including the elderly and vulnerable. The situation continues to be reviewed within our church leadership.
In line with these regulations, we suspended all our normal “face-to-face” gatherings. This includes our Sunday service, midweek groups and youth and children’s activities. Our church office is also closed although our ministry team are still working from home and are available. We are offering substitute activities including online worship, prayer and teaching through our Worshipping together – Apart! page, and we urge everyone to keep social contact through the telephone and social media.
Each Sunday we are compiling resources to help us have a shared act of worship, prayer and teaching, even when we have to be apart. You can access these resources at our Worshipping together – Apart! page and through the playlists in our YouTube channel. There is also a library of previous service playlists available through those sources. Also, as we know that not everyone has access to the internet, we are producing DVDs containing each Sunday’s worship material and distributing these to members of the congregation who will benefit from receiving the service in that format.
To complement this, we are holding video enabled gatherings three times a week to allow us to see each other, to pass on updates and to pray for each other. All regular attenders should have received details of how to join this; if you haven’t, please contact the Operations Manager.
Our mid-week fellowship gatherings – Growth Groups – have mainly gone on-line, meeting using video technology. If you are a church member who is not normally able meet with others during the week you may want to consider this option. If you would like to be linked to a group please contact the church office.
We want to support our regular church congregation and the wider community during this difficult time. If you live in and around Leighton Buzzard and want to contact us, ring Ian Watson, the Operations Manager, on 07785 593443 or email email@example.com.
We will update this posting as things change.
