We believe that being church together is about much more than what we do in 90 minutes on a Sunday morning. Growth Groups are where we gather as church in smaller groups to do life together, to help each other apply the message of the Bible to our lives, and to pray together about how we can as individuals and as groups show Jesus’ love in word and deed to those around.
Our groups meet throughout the town, and in a couple of nearby villages, across the week, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings as well as three daytime groups on a Wednesday morning. Groups run weekly or fortnightly, so it should be possible to find one that fits with your preference. We also run a Youth Growth Group on a Sunday evening at 6pm at the church for those of Upper School age (13-18).
In a church the size of Hockliffe Street where we can have 250 people or more in church on a Sunday morning it is vital to be part of a smaller group where you can know others well and be known by others. This means that you can be cared for as part of the church family, and that you can be involved in helping others. Growth Groups are an indispensable way that we can support one another and encourage one another in love and good deeds.
If you would like to be part of a Growth Group here at Hockliffe Street then please email: growthgroups@leightonbaptists.org.uk and we will be pleased to talk to you and link you to a group.
